Anydesk

Anydesk is a remote desktop application that enables us to connect to a computer remotely. It is a cross-platform application that provides remote access features, file sharing, and VPN features. Anydesk is free for personal use but paid options are included for commercial use. It is also the most popular remote desktop used.

Install Anydesk on KDE Neon / Kubuntu

Update your package index

### KDE Neon ###
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y

### Kubuntu ###
sudo apt update && sudo pkcon update -y

From your Konsole, Add the official GPG key for Anydesk to the repository.

First, enter as root to perform the following command.

sudo -i
wget -qO - https://keys.anydesk.com/repos/DEB-GPG-KEY | apt-key add -

Now add the repository to the etc/apt/sources list using the following command

echo "deb http://deb.anydesk.com/ all main" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list.d/anydesk-stable.list

Use as one command to output the following.

Exit root and then update your cache

sudo apt update

Then install Anydesk using the following command

sudo apt install anydesk

If prompted for disk space, type ‘y’ to continue the installation.

Launch Anydesk from the Konsole using

anydesk

You can also launch Anydesk from the Application Launcher as shown below.

It will open as shown with its remote address that is used to connect.

The settings option allows you to customize Anydesk to how you want. You can also add an address book (available in Professional and Enterprise), record your sessions, and get tips on how to use Anydesk.

From the settings option, you can set unattended access under the security tab.

Also, you can also change your privacy settings as shown below.
