PDF short for Portable Document Format is the most popular file format used today. It was designed by Adobe to include text formatting and images, independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems. Imagine you have a Word document file that you created and shared with your team members. Unless someone had the same Word application that you used to create the file, they cannot edit or view the document properly as some of the text formats might shift.

PDF is designed to solve this problem by creating a document file and preserving the document formatting making it shareable and accessible by different users. PDF files have improved tremendously over the years as you not only have to have a PDF reader application but can also open a PDF file on a browser. But what if You prefer using a PDF reader?

PDF readers offer more features and functionalities to work with PDF files. This includes editing the file to change the page order, removing some pages, dividing double-page scanned documents into single pages, and more. This can’t be done on a browser and that is where PDF readers come in. They are different types of PDF readers available; Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, Javelin PDF Reader, Foxit PDF reader, Google Drive, and more. These PDF readers differ in terms of their added features and payment options.
